Misty is the story of a wild pony and two children who want to buy her at the yearly auction of the wild ponies, where they swim from Assateague to Chincoteague in July under the watchful gaze of the salt water cowboys. Misty was Marguerite Henry's most famous book, it is beautifully written and enjoyed by all age groups,and is part of the library at all schools along the Eastern shore.
